Yes, I promise you read that right.
I’m not going to lie: I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for band directors. They’re in the trenches every day running rehearsals, encouraging students, teaching life skills (and music), and doing their utmost to program engaging work their kids will love. It’s a tough job, and it takes a toll—of my friends who are recent alums of a music program, most of the folks getting burned out and actively choosing to take time away from the craft are ed majors. Public school arts programs also face massive budget shortfalls, making it difficult for music educators to afford quality music for their students.
In an effort to make band directors’ lives a little easier and encourage intentional programming, I’m offering a completely free copy of my newest wind ensemble piece, strength in all things, to any band director who signs up to my mailing list during the month of September 2018 and programs it on at least one concert by the end of 2019. strength in all things is a grade 3 piece, and you can listen to an excerpt of it (as recorded by the ASU Wind Ensemble) here.
To get your copy, click this link (or use the popup in your browser) to sign up for my mailing list. I’ll only send you a handful of emails a year. When you sign up, check the box that says yes! send me my copy! I’ll start sending out copies on September 15th, 2018. ♦
